Wymaster Barber College is a reflection of its owner's, Wylonia Braxton, natural desires for her community. The desire, you ask? Nurturing a mindset of every student and/or patron she meets to be an elite individual. For the barber student, not to only  become a productive professional barber, but also to accomplish any goal he/she position themselves  to achieve. 'Your Success is Our Goal' (YSiOG) isn't just a slogan for Ms. Braxton. Its a stance that she lives by, speak of, and demonstrates daily.

 

Her love for the student and the community is established from the moment you call for a reservation for a service or an interview to become part of her extended family of students. Once you arrive, you feel the atmosphere of learning, achievements and excellence for the student and a professional environment of service for the community. Ms. Braxton will sit with a  prospective student personally to insure a unique path is created for the successful completion of the barber course of study.

 

Having 25 years in the barbering industry and have taught hundreds of students, she has a remarkable rapport with many of them. For years students have remarked on how she has a way of breaking a subject matter down, that  students on any learning curve can grasp. She understands the different learning habits of students, therefore she uses different methods of presentations for maximum effectiveness. Ms. Braxton goes the extra mile to create an inclusive and family oriented environment. 
 
The Barber industry by nature is competitive, fun, and demanding at times. By her incorporating those aspects into her daily teaching style, the classroom is always a place of creativity and excitement. A novice will be assured  that the crucial fundamentals of barbering will be obtain and the intermediate will gain more confidence in his or her skills tremendously.
